Red Spider Lilies, burst from the soil with an ex explosion of color in late summer. These beauties produce impressive 1 1/2-2 foot tall flower stems followed later by long, strap-like leaves.
The plant has different names, each describing a special feature. The flowers appear before the evergreen leaves unfurl, hence the name "naked lily". The name "spider lily" comes from the stamens of the flowers that resemble spider legs. And in Florida, the bloom coincides with hurricane season, earning it the name "hurricane flower".
Outstanding in showy cut flower bouquets that easily last over a week in water. These deer-resistant plants require little care and last a lifetime.

Each bulb will produce one to four flower stems.
Fall or early spring is the best times to plant spider lily bulbs.
You'll get the most flowers if you plant them in full sun to partial shade.
Spider lilies like rich, moist but well-drained, slightly alkaline soil that dries out between rains.
Dig a hole and plant spider lily bulbs pointed end up. Place them so their necks are at just above the soil surface.
Don't bury the top of the bulb or it may not flower.
Space them 12 inches apart.
Bulbs are freshly dug per order
Listing is for 2 Healthy established bulbs.
